Hexabot Colony - Mission Control App
This project was created as part of the Designflows 2025 competition, focusing on designing an intuitive and efficient mobile application for managing Hexabot multi-purpose robots in a lunar colony. The app is primarily intended for scientists and researchers who rely on Hexabots to perform critical tasks such as resource collection, exploration, and maintenance in extreme environmental conditions. The design process began with a thorough analysis of the provided brief and user insights. Researchers frequently monitor their Hexabots and assign tasks under time-sensitive conditions, making efficiency, real-time updates, and hands-free interaction key priorities. Based on these findings, the UX/UI flow was structured to streamline key interactions, allowing users to assign tasks, track progress, and analyze mission outcomes with minimal effort. Wireframing focused on ensuring logical navigation, integrating a dashboard for a quick overview of active Hexabots, an assignment screen for task delegation, and a progress-tracking interface with real-time data visualization. The high-fidelity prototype, fully designed in Figma, includes smooth interactions, dynamic progress indicators, and a detailed task reporting system. A futuristic, monochrome aesthetic was chosen to align with the sci-fi theme while maintaining clarity and usability. The final design ensures that lunar researchers can efficiently manage their robotic assistants with minimal friction, enhancing workflow productivity and operational effectiveness in the challenging conditions of a lunar colony.
